A dizzy day in the classroom today. Year 9 are practising for Mock SATs, which of course do not result in a useful qualification. Year 13 Mechanics is getting easier. Year 11 start a coursework tomorrow. It’s an interesting topic with a grid of numbers, sequences to solve and patterns to find.

I did the overarching formula in under an hour last night, but it was late and I hardly slept, with my brain buzzing and general anxiety about health, work and the future.
I am also hoping to book a room for M’s Christmas present in London in a couple of weekends time. I rang the hotel we liked the price of, but they are almost fully booked and the remaining prices are not so attractive. He wanted to go to a certain Jazz Club. It is booked, it looks great and should sound terrific. Might even encourage me to do a bit more saxophone practice. Am now thinking of looking for a hotel with a little less chain and a little more soul.
